"Are you interested in learning about ways to become energy efficient on the home front?  Groton Local's Energy Group and the Nashua River Watershed Association (NRWA) invite the public to join them for a free seminar, "Green Energy Upgrades,"  Wednesday, February 25, 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Groton Senior Center, 163 W Main Street (Rte. 225) in West Groton.

Learn how you can use reliable and currently available "green" heating and cooling systems to reduce your household energy bill and carbon footprint by 50% or more. Identify the best heating system for your own house based on overall efficiencies and future savings. Compare the total cost of your oil or gas heating systems to alternatives like geothermal heating/cooling or wood pellet stoves/boilers, and find out what typical Groton area households pay in energy costs.

Randy Brown from CommAve, LLC will present an overview of these issues and walk through a simple planning and design process that can lead you to a "Green Energy Upgrade" for your house. Whether you 're looking to do your part to combat global warming or just save money on your heating bills, or both, this seminar can really help you go green.

We will give ample time for audience questions
